News from China – CO-SUPERVISING A PhD

On the 30th of May 2024 Prof Ioannis Liritzis of AMEU participated in the defense of PhD thesis of his student Alex Westra at Henan University, Dept. of History and Culture, Minglun Old Campus. Prof. Liritzis was co-supervisor external (as AMEU) and local supervisor was the world known prehistoric archaeology Prof Wang Wei (Henan University and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences). A committee of five (internal and external) members examined the thesis and that was the 2nd stage of Ph.D submission.

Researcher, lecturer, and PhD candidate at Alma Mater Europaea – Faculty of Humanities, Daniel Siter has authored his new exhibition “Stalag XVIII D: 5000 Steps to Immortality” on the Nazi prisoner-of-war camp (Stalag XVIII D in Maribor) with original research findings, insights and the newest personal material objects from private collections.

Prof. Ioannis Liritzis as Invited Speaker in two Plenary sessions. Plenary session 1: Innovation and Education For Europe. Lecture: “Critical issues in education and innovation”, 2. Plenary Session 2: Lecture: “Remarks on the repeated past major climatic events (mythological deluges, hydraulic works) and thoughts of resilience and mitigation”.
